In the red-orange of a bowl

In our search for a painting that suited us, we found a lot of inspiration but it was all just not there. We knew Andrea but didn't know her well enough as an artist. We were tipped off to go and talk to Andrea and in the conversations with Andrea we indicated what our wishes were, Andrea complemented that well.

Because we have a lot of natural colors in our house we wanted something bright and abstract. People were allowed on it but not recognizable or reducible. A fun anecdote is that we had a bowl with a red-orange color, one of the colors that definitely had to be present in the painting. Andrea took that dish and used it for the color schemes.

That's how we started the adventure with Andrea. Andrea indicated that it was out of her comfort zone, but wanted to make it. During the creation of the painting, we went back to look at it and based on our reactions, Andrea continued. Andrea was given the freedom to fully incorporate her inspirations into the painting.

The result is beautiful, Andrea really surprised us with the end result and we are very happy with it. It has been given a prominent place in our living room. We get a lot of good reactions to the painting.

We are proud of it and Andrea should certainly be proud of the result as well.

Thanks Andrea

Inspired by Interface

I commissioned this painting for a very nice couple from Amsterdam. They were very charmed by the Art Print Interface and their commission was: 'We want a painting with Interface as a starting point, but then translated to our house, interior and the corresponding color palette. They live in a great mansion in the heart of Amsterdam with high ceilings and an ensuite room. Because of Corona, we had to do things a little differently this time. I did a test painting first, to see if the wishes and my work matched. After this approval we sent many messages and I always took pictures of the work. In this way this painting came about in consultation. Fortunately Gerben and Nelleke are very happy with it and it hangs beautifully in their home.

Polly!

Polly!

Grandpa and grandma love their dog Polly. So we thought it would be a great idea to give all the children and grandchildren a painting of Polly for grandpa's 85th birthday. A custom made painting of their favorite dog Polly seemed perfect to us. It was an extra challenge for Andrea that it was a surprise. As a result, only pictures of Polly were available for her. Still, the painting turned out tremendously well. Grandpa and Grandma were touched that even her look was captured so well.

The horses from Demi

The horses from Demi

"Would you like to paint my horses? It was a big challenge for me to get the pony and the horse good and lifelike on the canvas. Fortunately Demi lives nearby and I could therefore regularly go by to take pictures. In retrospect, this is also a requirement for achieving the best result.

Connection

Connection

The clients of this painting were looking for a work that suited their interior. Preferably abstract, but this too... I hear that more often! By adding graphic forms, the whole gets more restful. It gives a foothold and the figures radiate solidarity. For the use of color I looked at the interior of the clients and the color tones of the living room.

Roze enkellaarsjes

Roze enkellaarsjes

‘Ik wil graag deze roze enkellaarsjes geschilderd hebben’, vertelde Manon. ‘Dat is waar het om moet draaien in het schilderij.’

De laarsjes zijn in een abstracte omgeving geplaatst met veel reliëf. Dat vind ik zo ontzettend leuk aan in opdracht werken: de opdrachten lopen nogal uiteen, waardoor niet één schilderij hetzelfde is.

Africa inspired

Africa inspired

This painting was created with Africa as the starting point. It is a painting in mixed media with rope, cotton, straw and leather. Copper, gold, silver and natural tones are the colors in which this painting is executed. The clients gave me a free hand, with the only starting point being Africa inspired.

The African mask in the painting is from the owner herself. Very nice to have a personal element come back. The work has been given a nice spot.

A little bit Gustav

A little bit Gustav

A painting fitting the atmosphere of a fantastic sleek, modern new home. The assignment was: warm colors, tight, but not too tight, abstract, but not too abstract. These are such beautiful commissions. When I'm in the room, the painting usually already arises in my head and this is a good example of that. With a touch of Gustav Klimt and a lot of fantasy, this was a wonderful painting to make.

Art at the Nursery

Art at the Nursery

When I was expecting my daughter and was already decorating the baby's room in my head, I knew that there had to be art by Mom. I love her work immensely so I was sure it would be exactly what I wanted. Even before I got pregnant, I knew Mom was toying with the idea of painting animals, but much more abstract than usual. This idea really appealed to me.

When I knew what colors the baby's room should be I passed it on immediately. I wanted a leopard in my daughter's room. The Chi-Tah was therefore designed especially for her, in exactly the colors that I passed on. In the end it became a series of three that I really like. Tough because the animals are abstract and sweet because of the colors. They fit perfectly in her room.

On January 7, mom became, grandma to Olivia. The Chi-Tah became the front of her birth card. Inside the card, G-Raff was also featured. Olivia is now 9 weeks old and is starting to take a good look at the Art Prints. She finds them very interesting, which is probably due to the contrast and use of color. Every evening now we wish all the animals goodnight.

I'm getting really positive feedback on the birth announcement and on the Art Prints in Olivia's room. They are not the "standard" animals you see on many posters. It's really something special!

Thanks mom!

Love, Denise

Inspired by the painting 'Vogelvlucht'

Inspired by the painting 'Vogelvlucht'

This painting -inspired by painting Bird's Flight- has different dimensions 200 x 100cm The wish was to make the painting more personal. In consultation, I added this couple. Without losing the atmosphere of 'Vogelvlucht' this custom made painting has a completely different, but very personal touch.
